I’m an entrepreneur.

I am Nicolas Thành, French, 3X year old. Entrepreneur in Vietnam since 2014 (the year I graduated).

My journey in Vietnam started as a student in 2012.

I started my first business in 2014; Under the form of an HR consulting business, with my partner at the time we were recruiting foreign interns for local companies. it was called Jump in Vietnam.

Then, in 2016, after welcoming more and more foreign students in Vietnam, we wanted to build a community shared house. That is how we started DaBlend Hostel. It was a shared house first, then it became a hostel in 2017. It is during that same year that I also became the only owner of that hostel.

I’ve shared extensively about my learnings from owning a hostel in Vietnam in this article. But also about my strategy that got my hostel fully booked on my YouTube channel. Have a look:

In 2020, with the pandemic, I decided to avoid “waiting” for things to get better and shut down my hostel to start offering business consulting. It is at this time where I realised I could start helping overwhelmed business owners with their operations.

But because I was seeking financial stability, this “mission” eventually turned into a full time job in 2021 at Komit Consulting, an IT company in Ho Chi Minh City. During more than 2 years, I learned to become an Odoo ERP Project Manager. My first and only full time job lasted until January 2024.

Do you remember about my motivation to help overwhelmed business owners with their operations? Well, that is exactly who I was trying to help during the entire year 2024.

But I was hesitant on “what to help them with”.

To me, entrepreneurs needs mostly 3 things:

1. more customers or more revenues

2. produce more with less

3. better self-care to perform better

And I wasn’t sure which one I was best to help with. So that is what I spent time researching during the year 2024.

For this reason, I became a Digital Project Manager and accepted different missions as a freelancer to redo websites, help small companies acquire more clients, automate operations, etc.

…until 2025 where I decided to focus on designing collaborative Notion workspaces for small teams in Vietnam.

Between 2024 and 2025, the biggest change is that instead of offering my help, I propose a solution.

And that solution is Scale in Peace.
