Initial Situation
My client is a trading company specializing in drop shipping from China to car dealers in the US and UK, primarily dealing with car parts. They also source specialty products like lighting equipment for customers in Morocco and Europe. Though they have a small client base (3-5 customers), each client places large orders requiring complex logistics management.
The company faced significant challenges in managing their complex supply chain, including batch shipments, multiple invoicing stages, and frequent manufacturing and logistics delays. Their customers – such as Tesla repair shops and city lighting contractors – required timely deliveries and accurate tracking of their orders.
Solution Provided
As a Digital Project Manager, I implemented an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system using Odoo modules that integrated:
