Why you should stop asking people to fix things but to consult you.

Someone that can offer some suggestions, raise the right questions, implement their own frameworks.

There is a difference between fixing things and consulting.

If the task is to open the door,

• The fix guy will shoot with a bazooka and tell you this is ok, now you can enter.
• The consultant will build a door handle so that you can still close the door when needed.

In both cases, they answered what the client wanted.

But the consultant also addressed what they needed.

I build the door handle and enter with the bazooka 😂

More seriously though, what is your best advice to solve problems ? We got to be smart + effective, right ?
